Last updated: January 29, 2026

You should already have recorded your audio/video in accordance with the Recording Guidelines 2026. These are the steps to follow to post your video to YouTube and share during the application/registration process with the Falcone Festival Competition. Please read through the entire document before beginning the application/registration process. Remember, each applicant will submit one video; no audio-only files will be accepted.

STEP 1. Visit YouTube and upload your preliminary video as an individual, unlisted (not private) video, without password protection. This means that ALL the preliminary round works (in order as listed on Required Music) must be part of a single video.

STEP 2. Because you will be sharing the link to your video as part of the application/registration process, once you begin your application, you will need to enter all necessary information in one computer session. Refer to the Competition Overview and Procedures section of the Falcone Festival website.

STEP 3. During the application/registration process, you will be prompted to enter the URL you created, copy/paste the YOUTUBE LINK of the unlisted (not private) video with the video you uploaded to YouTube earlier. If you uploaded several different videos, be sure to select the one you want the judges to evaluate! Once you upload your link, your YouTube video will appear, if it doesn’t then you have selected the sharing permissions required in step #1. You must fix these sharing settings for the video in order for you video to be adjudicated!

Note: To get an accurate link for your video, on YouTube click “Share” located under the video and then “Copy.” Please, make sure your video is not private and do not deselect the embedding option (it is allowed by default). These links should represent your UNEDITED musical interpretation. See below.

Then you will see this (next page or a popup window depending on platform/device you’re using)…

STEP 4. COPY THE SHARED YouTube link. You will be asked to copy/paste your shared link during the application/registration process.

This completes the sharing of your video. Now go back and finish your application/registration.

REMEMBER: It is in your best interest to avoid waiting until the last few hours to begin the application/registration process and submit the link! There will be no extension of time! The deadline to submit your application is March 31st, 2026, 11:59 PM, but earlier is highly recommended.
